The Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Clinic offers a wide range of innovative and complex cardiac and thoracic surgery. In the cardiac surgery department, we implement minimally invasive procedures for heart valve reconstruction or heart valve replacement, catheter-interventional heart valve surgery, complete arterial coronary bypass operations with and without the use of the heart-lung machine, modern aortic surgery including endovascular techniques and the implantation of cardiac support systems. Currently under construction is a modern artificial heart program for patients with severe heart failure.

A team of highly qualified doctors, nurses, technicians and administrative staff ensures a smooth flow of your stay. Close cooperation with all referring clinics in and around Magdeburg will enable us to provide comprehensive care for our patients from diagnosis to the completion of their rehabilitation.
